Catfox Design is a cheerful design brand dedicated to the creation of imaginative and exciting designs and visuals over a range of mediums, and it is our hope to bring a little joy and happiness into the world. We draw inspiration from anything and everything we see, and specialize in the cute, quirky and colorful.
DESIGNER/ANIMATOR Catfox Design began in 2006 as my personal online portfolio of character design and animated works. The character "Catfox" emerged from a short animation I created, that unfortunately did not complete due to an unfortunate computer crash and me being so silly as to not back up my work regularly. I decided to give her a new home as mascot of a very small online t-shirt business. This helped me find a theme for my designs, and from this decision, the brand has evolved into what it is today. Ever since I was young, I have loved drawing and creating new things, and over the years this has not changed. I have a huge interest in animation and character design, with a focus on Disney-styles and japanese anime. I have a firm belief that not all things child-like are always childish and can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and I do my utmost to reflect this in my creations. LABEL MANAGER Hi! I’m Wenee, Label Manager for Catfox. I’m a writer, journalist and final year law student. To me, the best part of life is the struck-silence awe of beauty, held in a poem, a line of lyrical insight, a good conversation, words left unspoken, 2am quiet, politics, law, the Simpsons, philosophy, dark, dark chocolate, tea and really, anything – I’m easy to please. I’ve had poetry, short stories and non-fiction/journalism published, won and been commended in a number of creative competitions.
